Horrible People

So apparently, and for no good reason, the reprehensible human beings at the Westboro Baptist church are deciding to picket Natasha Richardson's funeral. Well, she has donated money to AIDS research and of course, trying to find a cure for an incurable disease is simply something only a horrible person would do! They did announce:

"God appointed the Bunny Slope to Ensnare the Simple Sluts of Doomed America! Thank God for the Bunny Slope of Cursed Quebec, Canada!"

This is the same church whose website is godhatesfags.com and also the same church that protested the pope, the funerals of many soldiers who died in combat in Afghanistan and Iraq, Bernie Mac, Coretta Scott King, boy scouts who died in a storm and many more. The list goes on and on. When I clicked on the link for their website a little picture of an upside down American flag shows up next to the URL. I actually felt sick when I looked at this site.

What I really want to know is what these despicable people actually stand for. When you look at what they protest, it is almost a contradiction. From what I can tell, they will picket anyone and anything and not have a good reason for it. Now I know that I don't practice religion of any form and I really don't know what I believe, but the last time I checked god was supposed to stand for loving one another and forgiveness and acceptance. Nothing on this website has indicated any of this to me. And why is it that those of us who aren't religious leave these people to practice what they want, and all they want to do is tell us how horrible we are? Who really deserves to die? Who really deserves the protests? These people make me so angry but at the same time and I am truly sad for them because their lives are so pathetic and lack meaning. Clearly nothing will make these people happy except for the annihilation of the rest of the world. I sense the need for another Jonestown.

It does say in the article that their church caught fire last year, it is a suspected arson and no one has been caught for the crime. But really, is it a crime? I don't think so.
